Originally from Upstate NY, I now live in sunny Lakeland, FL. I am a proud mother of 5 great kids (grown kids, that is) and a grandmother of 9, ranging from 2 to 20!. With a Bachelors  degree in Health and Human Services, I enjoyed working at a juvenile correctional facility helping teenage boys get their lives back on track.  I had 25 boys on my case load!  There were some as young as 14 who were fathers, and others who were nearly 20 and spent most of their teen years in one facility or another.  I've also worked in a homeless shelter cooking for as many as 50 people at a time and as a night dispatcher with 25 truck drivers to keep track of!  If they had problems on the road guess who they called?  Right, it was me.
