3 Free Blogging Sites that Pay you Money
80TypePad Micro Blog
Whether you are new to blogging or not, blogging sites like TypePad, Mashable and Blog Spot are not only free but they also allow you to make money. There are blogging sites that charge bloggers to use them like Word Press.Org (note-WordPress.Org and WordPress.com are different) and there are sites that are free. I use Blog Spot (see link below) and am very happy with them. I earn money for views and advertising clicks on Blog Spot. TypePad is free but offers upgrades for a fee. This means you have access to many features to make your blog more interesting. The TypePad Micro version doesn't cost anything and you still have access to hundreds of template designs. If you want to upgrade they have a 14 day free trial and you have to pay $14.95 a month when the trial offer expires. You make money by placing ads on your blog. The more people clicking on ads, the more money you make.

Mashable
I checked out Mashable and found it to be quite interesting. Mashable has been in business since 2005. It's a very popular social media news blog. Mashable is different than other blogging sites because you have to submit your article and they either accept it or not, whereas a regular blog is yours. No acceptance involved. Mashable is looking for blogging articles containing interesting facts about social media news, web development, internet news, electronic gadgets, mobile technology any other interesting news items that are web related. Your article may or may not be accepted, but if it is you get paid for it. I jotted down a couple of blog submissions by different authors to give you an idea of what they are looking for. They are "5 Ways Twitter is Changing Media Laws" and "9 Quick Tips for Better iPhoneography." If you are social media "news" savvy you may want to check Mashable out.
Blog Spot
Blog Spot, (or Blogger.com) is provided by Google. It is free and offers no upgrades so everyone gets to enjoy blogging with no strings attached. They have templates of various designs, the ability to add images and You Tube videos, and you can like them on Facebook and "tweet" them on Twitter. You can place ads on your blog with Blog Spot and choose your own colors and sizes. With dozens of various widgets, Blog Spot is fun and easy to use. You're paid by the number of clicks that you get on your ads. You do have to open a Google Adsense account to get paid. Compared to Word Press.com, I think Blog Spot is much easier to navigate.

This is great information Susie. I do not have a blog but have thought about starting one. I just do not know how I would find time to maintain it.
