All Things Bright and Beautiful, All Creatures Great and Small
74All Creatures Great and Small
God's creatures are all so special to us. We spend days at the zoo visiting them, we take our kids to theme parks to see them, we drive down country roads hoping to catch a glimpse of them. Our eyes are wide open as we smile at a line of babies following their mama across the road or swimming in the lake. Our cameras are out, waiting for them to stand still and pose for us! Maybe we'll even get a smile from one of them! This world would be a mighty boring place without our wildlife to awe us.
The jungles are alive with wildlife. Monkeys such as this cute little guy make their homes in the dense foliage. The mountain peaks sport goats and sheep, wolves and bear. The streams, lakes and rivers are bountiful with a vast array of fish, ducks, geese and swans. Our forests are home to deer, raccoon, squirrels, and rabbit. We see an occasional skunk wandering around and sometimes even a beaver who may be cutting down a tree!. The sky is dotted with the hawk, sparrow, falcon and in some places, the bald eagle. Without our wildlife the world would be a boring place.
The alpaca climb the rugged mountain terrain. This little guy just loves his mama. Our children yearn for a puppy or a kitten for Christmas. They can't wait to wrap their arms around them! We teach them to obey our commands, yet we love them so much we can't bear to put them in time out when we find our slippers chewed up! Our farmers spend their whole lives caring for their animals. Cows have to be milked, calves fed, and horses brushed and ridden . We can't wait to see the newborn baby calves following their mama's around in the fields. What a boring world this would be without our precious animals!
Some of us are fortunate enough to go on safari. Our cameras click away at little guys like this baby elephant. He will soon grow up to tall and strong like his mama and daddy, but while he is young, we long to smother him with our hugs and pecks on the cheek. Well, maybe not. Especially if his mama is nearby! Why do we long to love on these creatures? Because we are loving human beings. We long for affection. Without a way to release our emotions we dry up and wither away. It is our nature to love. It is what we do best. We get lonely for some sort of companionship. We must love and so we do...

THE BEAUTY OF GOD’S LOVE By BERNARD LEVINE
God is amazing
He chooses every baby's DNA and blood type
He puts every star in place to float in the sky
He creates every fingerprint with a rare design
He makes an egg to burst open with life.
God is great
He selects all the love-songs for every bird to sing
He makes broken bones mend
He gives every flower its specific perfume
He cares for seeds and they turn to fruit.
God is awesome
He tells the seasons when to change
He gives us air so we can breathe
He feeds multitudes of living organisms on our planet
He waters fields of green carpets with morning dew.
Every leaf is a marvel of God's genius
Every baby is filled with God's love
There is nothing in this world more precious
than the beautiful kindness of God.
