Help! There's an Armadillo in My Flower Garden!

I went outside last night and oh, what a sight! An armadillo!

My hair stood on end, who's not to say I was FRIGHTENED!!!

I opened the door and gave a shout, calling out to my husband...

"Husband, husband, come out here quick, there's something in

our flower garden!

I flipped on the porch light and there was the culprit

who had dug holes in our yard, an armadillo, busy at work,

eating bugs and who knows what else he's eaten!

Husband said, "come on, close the door, before he comes in,

let that cat take care of him." That'll be the end of the drama!

Well, now that we know who's making the mess,

digging around outside,

that nasty armadillo dug a hole under the shed,

in the yard, and in the flower garden.

"Come on kitty, tackle him, chase him away,

you've just got to do something!" What did he do? Not a darned thing,

just sat and watched it all happen!

This is the end of the story, about an armadillo in our yard.

Where did he go? What did he do? Nothing, that's what!

Just wandered away, under the truck, the cat, well, he just followed after.

Would he chase him? Would he bite him? Nope, he just acted mildly interested.

Like it was no big deal, not trying to make a kill, and I finally told him, "CAT...oh, just forget it."
