Get Organized using Plastic Storage Containers

When You Can't Find Anything, Get Organized!

Organizational skills don't come naturally for everyone. It is a learned skill. Well, I am coming to your rescue! I have some great ideas to get organized and I've used them for a long time. Not that my house is always in perfect order but I do know where everything is. If you don't know try some of my suggestions! Maybe you don't have sufficient closet or cupboard space. Stores like Home Depot, Lowes or even Walmart sell all kinds of plastic storage bins that have drawers, compartments and rollers, and they don't cost an arm and a leg.

Creating extra storage space in your home can be done with very little effort. It saves valuable time when everything has a place of its own. Don't litter your table and counter tops with objects that have no home. They can easily be stored in a drawer or cubby and it costs little. Installing peg boards is a great affordable way to organize items such as kitchen utencils or even tools of various kinds. You can even use them in the kids room, the laundry room, the computer room or outdoor storage spaces like the garage or utility shed.

I stopped at a yard sale a month or so ago and a woman had multiple plastic storage bins for sale. There were plastic storage bins with drawers in them that were perfect for office supplies or even kitchen utensils and she was asking next to nothing for them. Dads, you too would have found them handy for your garage or shed. They are great for all those screws, nuts, bolts and odds and ends of tools that are sitting around and are much more affordable than metal tool boxes. Storing items like this not only helps to clean and straighten up rooms in the home but gives each room a look that is neat and tidy as a pin.

I've included an Amazon link below for an affordable collection of plastic storage bins. I use ours for storing tax forms from previous years, insurance policies, mortgage contracts and outdated bills that we keep for 7 years. This type of material needs a home too. Other drawers in my storage bins are for music CD's and craft materials and sewing supplies. They make a great addition to our computer room, are easy to keep clean and give our home a more comfortable, well organized look.

Thanks for stopping by, F. Yes, we do too, but I like the ones with compartments to keep things in order.

Ours have various lids and sometimes it takes a while to get the lids in view to fit the appropriate plastic tubs, anyway. (A bit like jigsaw puzzles.)

Blessings.
