Specific information, logical deduction,

going green is best.

Recycle that waste, rather than throw it in the trash,

take time to rinse those cans,

don't throw plastic in the can!

Take your newspaper, your magazines,

throw them in the recycle bucket, contribute to the economy.

Take your responsibility to the environment seriously,

don't be lackadaisical about helping, let's go green!

Take an interest in the cause, there is no clause,

that says to ignore it, in the Bible.

God smiles down on us, when we do our part,

to care for the Earth that He created.

Get going, Go green!

Pick up the trash, clean up the parks,

don't let your kids see that you're a bum...

Make a good impression, help clean up the mess,

set aside some time, to pick up at the beach,

State your cause, don't pause, just get going, let's go green!

I've been recycling for the last 20 years.

My husband recyles his pepsi cans, it takes a while because I don't drink any sodas.

Great hub, here's hoping it reminds everyone to recylce.

Of course there are many people who don't help by recycling! My late husband and I used to take the kids to the park and we would pick up all of the trash, and here we are years later and my daughter has just earned her Bachelor's degree in Environment Science.

Very inspiring poem. Thanks for remind us how the important to keep our environment always clean and "green". It wasn't just an issue, but we must give our support 100%. GO GREEN and vote up!

ya, green is good, but we are emitting carbon de oxide.

There is so much more we could be doing and I think its great that our children are learning the importance of living green and reducing our carbon footsteps. Thank you for raising awareness in this hub.

Prasetio: After the oil spill we had cleaning up the beaches has received more attention than ever before! We need to pay more attention to our living environment. Thanks for reading!

Hyphenbird: Yes, me to, but thankfully we're spending money keeping Mars clean!

Hashirraja: I agree! You are a smart man! God bless!

Hi Fennelseed; I don't remember learning much about recycling when I was a kid! It just wasn't ever talked about back in the 50's and 60's. Appreciate you're reading my push for "green" this morning!

I have been recycling for years and love your poem.

Thank you for the comment. I guess I just felt the need to write about "going green" today. I haven't seen too many hubs about it. Glad you liked it!

Up and up and away here.

Hi Susie, we have been recycling for a long time now, but we can always do much more.

I love your inspirational poem and your lovely photos of Ella.

Thank you for sharing.

Hi Movie Master and Eiddwen, welcome and thank you for visiting. When you move into a home in Lakeland you automatically receive recycle buckets. Most of us also recycle. Cleaning up beaches here in FL is something many people are into, especially after the oil last year. My daughter, Allie, is especially into caring for the environment. The first photo of her little girl, Ella, was taken at the zoo. The second is her first day of school. Her daddy is a professional photographer. Thank you for the comments.

Correction to my reply to Hyphenbirds comment: Should be "thankfully we're NOT spending money to keep Mars clean." Sorry for the mistake!

Hi Susie,

Thanks for sharing this, I'm a big fan of recycling as you know. I like to do my bit for the environment. I loved how you shared this in the form of a poem, it was a great twist and very refreshing! Voted up.

Thank you, Clover! Glad you enjoyed it, although I'm not the greatest rhymer of words. Guess it's better to do something rather than nothing at all. xxooxxx, Susieq

Where I live, we have recycling bins the size of a trash can that are emptied along with the garbage each week. Our bin is always full (I'm proud to say), as are most of my neighbors' recycling containers.

SusieQ42 8 months ago

I feel guilty if I accidently throw away a piece of paper in the trash! Thanks for reading Ktrapp.
