Jesus, the Bright and Morning Star
64
Jesus is mentioned in the Book of Revelations as "The Bright and Morning Star." (Rev. 22:16) I think that of all the different names there are for Him in the Bible, this is one of the most beautiful. It is s my favorite!
We used to sing a praise song called "Jesus, Rose of Sharon." It says "Jesus, Rose of Sharon, how lovely You are. Jesus, Rose of Sharon, the Bright and Morning Star." And He is. He is so lovely. His light shines on us and we are filled with the Holy Spirit. He is my "Bright and Morning Star!" His light fills my soul and spirit. It's warmth is real! The Holy Spirit "glows."
Without Him we're nothing. We are lost! Don't be lost. Don't spend one more minute of your life without Him. When we accept Jesus into our lives we are made brand new. He gives us a new heart, changing our old heart into one that is softer and more compassionate. One that is filled with the love of Jesus! Why? Because we become more like Him. Our lives change quickly; everything is looked at through "new eyes."
My life changed dramatically when I accepted Him as my personal Lord and Savior 30 years ago in 1981. I accepted Him just months after I lost my precious baby girl, Amy. He knew how badly I needed Him! He really is my "personal" Lord and Savior! He is my own, but He is also yours too. He opens unto us new doors of opportunity, He offers us the chance to change our lives. He is pleasing to us, as we are to Him. He desires our fellowship. He only wants us to love Him. There is no other love in the world like Jesus love.
Why do I say this? He offers us unconditional love like no man can do. He cares for us no matter what. Plus He doesn't look at the outer man, He only looks at the heart. He doesn't look at the physical. He cares about what is on the inside, and by that I mean the heart. Man looks at our outward appearance. God doesn't care what we wear, how our hair looks, whether or not we have money or a great career. He loves us no matter anyway! I'm so glad that He doesn't care about all of these things. Aren't you?
The following scripture verses are some that mention Jesus as the "Rose of Sharon" and the "Bright and Morning Star". More references can be found at the websi
He is the fairest of ten thousand, He is the Rose of Sharon, He is the Lilly of the Valley. "who is worthy to open the book and break the seals thereof? " Rev. 5:2

SusieQ: Our Lord is known by many names, and this is a beautiful one to remember Him by. The one I use most with love and affection is "Brother" for he is our Brother.
Amen!
Thank you Susie for being a blessing again, and reminding us of Jesus's love no matter what we wear or what we look like.
I find that the more we grow, the more there is to know, and the more I understand how God forgives us and loves us despite our faults.
I have one question, I know that God desires our fellowship, but can you tell me where in the Bible it says he is lonely? I didn't think God was lonely, but I would like to know.
Wonderful hub, thank you very much.
Oh no! I certainly wasn't criticizing, I don't believe you should have taken it out (unless you felt led to). In fact, I looked up the verse in my trusty King James Bible, and it doesn't quite make sense to me.
So what this means is that I'll do a little more in depth study and who knows what the Lord will reveal to me and what I will tell others about what I learned, all because you translated the meaning you understood from what you learned!
I don't doubt that the way you see it is a blessing to you, and that you put it down here is a blessing to others. I just happen to be a grateful follower seeking to understand more about how and why. So please don't apologize or change anything - at least not on my account. God bless you Susie the way you bless me.
Another beautiful hub Susie, thank you.
