Vitamin B6 Helps Improve Mood Swings

Vitamin B is Important
Did you know that Vitamin B6 helps improve mood swings, anxiety and depression? For women who have problems with either PMS or menopause, including breast pain and acne associated with PMS, increase your intake of Vitamin B6. You can get more Vitamin B6 by taking a vitamin supplement, or by eating more of the food listed below.
Without enough Vitamin B6, a compound called homocysteine builds up in the body. Homocysteine damages blood vessel linings, causing plaque buildup when the body tries to heal the damage. Vitamin B6 prevents this buildup and reduces the risk of heart attack. Vitamin B6 also helps lower both blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Vitamin B12 gives you energy and strengthens your immune system. Alcohol consumption in large amounts will deplete your body of B Vitamins.
Increase your daily intake of Vitamin B by eating more of the following food: fish, meat, legumes, vegetables, dairy products, eggs and cereal grains. If you don't think you're getting enough B vitamins in your diet you can buy Vitamin B Complex.

Thanks Suzie = that makes good sense. I eat a healthy diet, so I can probably get what I need from my food. I am a vegetarian and eat fish (mostly salmon). Thanks for answering my question.
You're welcome. My diet is varied...veggies, fruit, high fibers, calcium and meat, although not too much red meat, although we need it for protein. The multi vitamins build up in our system, this is the reason I don't take them for long periods of time.
Useful information on vitamin B6. It's great for anxiety, which many people have these days. Thanks!
